Jason B. Buckland - Attorney

Buckland Law Firm, P.L.L.C. was started by Jason Buckland to provide legal services for individuals and businesses in Giles County and the surrounding communities of the New River Valley and Southwest Virginia.  After practicing law for 12 years in North Carolina, Jason decided to return home to Giles County to establish a legal practice.  

Prior to opening Buckland Law Firm, P.L.L.C., Jason was a partner and business litigator in a Greensboro, North Carolina business law firm.  During that time, Jason handled numerous complex civil matters for businesses and their employees, officers and owners.  Jason practiced before the State Courts, United States District Courts and United States Bankruptcy Courts of North Carolina.  Jason was selected by North Carolina Super Lawyers Magazine as a Rising Star in business litigation in 2009, 2011 and 2012*. 

Jason has experience in handling complex business disputes including trade secrets, covenants against competition, business torts, unfair and deceptive trade practices, commercial contracts, commercial lease disputes, regulatory investigations, college athletic conference realignment, fair housing issues, shareholder and limited liability company disputes, and insurance coverage issues.    

Jason began his career as an attorney in 2002 at a large national law firm based in North Carolina assisting in the defense of product liability cases against companies facing claims in state and federal courts throughout the nation.

Jason earned his Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2002.  In 1999, Jason earned a bachelor of science in finance from Virginia Tech.  He is a graduate of the Giles County Public School system.

Jason resides in Narrows with his wife and two sons.
